SHIRLEY JEANNE STEPHENSON ANDERSON, age 79, of Abbott, formerly of Houston, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 1, 2002 at a Hillsboro nursing home. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2002 at Westbury Baptist Church, 10425 Hillcroft, Houston, TX 77096, with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating.

Mrs. Anderson was born February 12, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri, the third child of Roger and Adelaide Stephenson.

She married Dudley Oren Leetun on March 3, 1943, he preceded her in death on December 1, 1965. She then married Victor O. Anderson on April 9, 1966, and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1980.

Mrs. Anderson owned and operated Preferred Dictation until her retirement in 1985. At one time it was the largest medical transcription service in the Houston area.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda L. Carr and her husband Steven, of Stafford, and Barbara Leetun and her husband Robert Wilson, of Abbott; one son, Victor S. Anderson and his wife Robin, of Houston; three stepsons, Frank B. Anderson and wife Nella Bea, of Gunnison, Colorado, Ronald Anderson and wife Marilyn, of Spring, and Edward Anderson and wife Teresa, of Huffman; one brother, Roger Stephenson of Corpus Christi; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
