I received a text from 716 980-1363 wanting to buy my cemetery property. 716 is Buffalo. Fake check came from California. "John" tried to be very convincing, telling me there was a slight delay in our transaction because he needed one more grave near my four and was negotiating with someone to buy that one also. He even said he would meet me at the cemetery to look at my graves together - wonder how that would have worked out? Anyhow, I texted back that I was living in Texas. He told me to call him immediately when I received the check due to a problem. He made the fake check for $2000 over the sales price. He isn't a very good scammer as I immediately knew the check was fake. Note check number in upper right corner. Note that same number encoded on the bottom left corner where the bank routing number is supposed to be. "John" needs to brush up on his scamming skills. Thanks for alerting other sellers to "John."
