Woodland Cemetery is a well-kept, easily accessible, park like setting.  
The grounds are nicely landscaped and the 140 acres of winding roads helps showcase this historic cemetery.
Notable burials include Rosa Parks, Dodge brothers and Aretha Franklin to name a few.   
The cemetery is located in the north part of Detroit between Seven and Eight Roads.  It has limited, if any burial sites available.  
Section 37, The Garden of Hope, is located towards the back of the cemetery, away from Woodward Ave.
It is a quiet, beautiful area with three monuments.  
The space is very easy to locate and next to the Anchor of Hope Monument which is planted in the spring.
